After an early career working as a college admissions officer, Daniel Klasik earned his PhD in Education Policy from Stanford University. He is currently an associate professor in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on understanding the factors that shape whether and where students enroll in college; how inequality continues throughout college; and how policy can work to promote more equitable postsecondary outcomes. This research has been published in outlets ranging from the Journal of Public Policy and Management, to Educational Researcher, to the Journal of Higher Education and has been referenced everywhere from the New York Times to cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.
